 Supplier Check List...

Sustainable Food Purchasing Managers should have completed forms from each of the suppliers:

Put key guidelines in and ask them to sign

Can the supplier provide the following information:

  1. Where does it come from? Country region and eventually farm and how far have each ingredient come
    - manufactured products may have 20+ ingredients!
  2. How do demonstrate compliance?
    Certificate
    Audit trail,
    Other independent certificates even if not directly relevant
  3. Can you test?
    GM free, antibiotic residues
  4. Is there an organic version available?
